DeMartino started out as a senior tax advisor at two national accounting firms. This experience has taught him how to team up with clients to build structure real estate and renewable investments that produce economic, sustainable, and cultural benefits in the community for investment partners. This includes advising lenders, developers, investors, and nonprofits on how they can maximize historic rehabilitation tax credits and new markets tax credits. These investments change how rehabilitation health care centers, residential rental and commercial facilities, charter schools, community spaces, and other buildings are constructed today.
DeMartino has a passion for the community and historic preservation. He was recently elected as vice president of Washington D.C.’s Preservation League. He also chairs the Governance Committee for the League.
He earned his LL.M. from New York University, his J.D. from Washington and Lee University, and his B.A. from Bates College.
