One of the top 100 U.S. law firms is continuing to grow their roster. Akerman LLP added a new partner to their Miami office from Bilzin Sumberg. Andres Mendoza will be a part of the corporate and real estate transactions group.
Mendoza will enhance the firm’s abilities in joint venture, fund formation, and other complex transactions like mergers and acquisitions, private equity funds, and private placements. Akerman’s Chair of the Corporate Practice Group, Mary Carroll, stated, “Andy is an exceptional, versatile transactional lawyer and his experience in complex transactions spans numerous sectors. He is highly-regarded with talents in both corporate and real estate transactions and brings our clients valuable expertise in different funding sources and transaction structures.”
His practice will focus on joint ventures and the formation of private equity funds. In the past he has represented public and private companies for a range of matters like private placements, debt and equity financings, and joint ventures.
