Karen Marchiano is pleased to be joining the Franchise and Distribution practice in the DLA Piper Silicon Valley office as of counsel. She is joining DLA Piper from an of counsel position with Dentons
Marchiano will focus her practice on advising franchisors in the real estate, restaurant, hotel, automotive, financial services, and education industries. Her extensive experience delves into individual and class litigation. She also works with clients on a variety of issues like termination and non-renewal, trademark protection, joint employment, system standards and changes, vicarious liability, and compliance with franchise statutes.
While at Dentons, Marchiano gave direction to franchisors on regulatory matters, represented clients in the full scope of litigation and arbitration services, and conducted regulatory due diligence for mergers and acquisitions in the franchise systems.

She earned her J.D. from U.C. Berkeley School of Law and her B.S. from Duke University.
