The Corporate practice at DLA Piper in Houston is getting an added bonus with the addition of energy partner Drew Baldinger. He is joining DLA Piper from Andrews Kurth.
As a leader in the energy industry, Baldinger will keep his focus on the energy sector by representing developers, investors, financial institutions, electric utilities, contractors, and exploration and production companies in the construction, development, acquisition, divestiture, operation, and debt and equity financing of international and domestic gas and oil and power projects.
Baldinger’s experience also includes the renewable energies like wind, solar, and geothermal generation projects. As regional managing partner of DLA Piper’s Texas offices John Gilluly says, “Drew’s deep experience and specialized skill set in corporate transactions, particularly within the robust energy market in Texas, will translate to exciting opportunities with energy and renewables projects. He’s a tremendous talent who will strengthen, deepen, and diversify our domestic and international corporate and energy practices.”
The Corporate practice in Houston has received three other additions this year: Arty Howard, Chris Schaeper, and Tony Newton. The firm has been taking been strides to strengthen their energy practice into a leader in the Americas.
