Summary: Parishioners sue Rev. Peter Miqueli for embezzling $1 million to pay for his sexcapades with a male BDSM master.
Thou shalt not steal to pay for BDSM.
That commandment should be added to the Bible of New York Catholic priest, Rev. Peter Miqueli. He’s being sued by his church patrons for stealing money from the collection plate to fund his drug-fueled BDSM romps. The lawsuit claims he had been stealing from St. Frances de Chantal in Throggs Neck since 2003.
Church parishioners accused Miqueli of paying muscle-bound hunk S&M master Keith Crist for sex. They allege he paid $1,000 for every bondage and discipline session; $60,000 for drugs; $264,000 for a house in New Jersey; and almost $1,100 a month for Crist’s East Harlem apartment. The total amount of embezzlement monies totaled to almost a million dollars.
Miqueli allegedly skimmed $20 bills from the collection plate as well pocketed fundraising money. Last summer, maintenance workers claimed they saw “several unstacked piles of cash, each approximately one foot high, scattered throughout Father Miqueli’s rectory residence.”
During Miqueli’s paid sessions, he allegedly would act out fantasies of being a sex slave. Crist would dominant him and make him drink Crist’s urine.
Crist’s girlfriend told The New York Post that the sex between the priest and bodybuilder was so intense that Crist once hurt his knees while boning in a bathtub.
The plaintiff’s are represented by Michael G. Dowd. Dowd stated that at one point Crist lived in the rectory before he was kicked out. Crist was also appointed to be the head of the church thrift shop where he misappropriated money for his own use.
“I feel really bad for the parishioners,” Dowd said.
The suit was filed in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday. It names Miqueli, and it also accuses his bosses, the Archdiocese of New York and Cardinal Timothy Dolan, of knowing about his thievery.
The Archdiocese said it was taking the allegations seriously and was conducting an investigation.
The plaintiffs want unspecified damages from Miqueli, Crist, Dolan and the Archdiocese. They claim negligent supervision, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and unjust enrichment.
“This lawsuit seeks to finally put an end to this truly sinful conduct so that St. Frances de Chantal parish can regain the strength, spirituality and faith it once had before Father Miqueli arrived,” the lawsuit stated.
