Summary: Pediatrician Robin Goldman was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband, attorney Julius “Jules” Reich.
Julius “Jules” Reich has been charged with second degree murder of his wife, Dr. Robin Goldman, 58. Authorities said that she was found stabbed to death in their lavish $2.7 million home in Scarsdale, New York, on Wednesday morning.
Reich, 61, is being held without bail at the Westchester County jail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, Lohud reports.
It appeared that no one saw this crime coming. Neighbors of the couple said that they were “upstanding people.” The couple lived in an affluent neighborhood in the New York suburb of Westchester, and Scarsdale Police Captain Thomas Altizio said in a press conference that this was an “isolated incident.”
“It’s shocking when it hits so close to home,” neighbor Roberta Graf told the media.
Reich is a partner at WeiserMazars LLP. According to their website, they specialize in accounting, tax and advisory, and they employ 700 professionals in 10 U.S. Cities. Reich’s profile on the site states that he specializes in corporate consulting and transactions.
Goldman was a respected pediatrician who was affiliated with Montefiore Medical Center. She also was an assistant professor Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Lohud reports that Reich filed for divorce in August 2015.
