Summary: A pro-rape group that refers to themselves as the “Return of Kings” had scheduled a series of meetings across the country for February 6, but has since cancelled them for fear of public backlash.
A group started by a “neomasculinity” blogger calling for the legalization of rape on private property has withdrawn the call to supporters to meet on “International Meetup Day” of February 6. Daryush “Roosh” Valizadeh had called for the day for men to stand up for their rights, resulting in the announcement of over one hundred meetings across the globe.
Man Allegedly Rapes 12-Year-Old Girl, Whom Detective Then Describes as “Not Unwilling.”
The Return of Kings website promotes an anti-feminism philosophy with traditional gender roles and claims that gender equality is a myth and homosexuality is artificial and deviant. He has written several books and blogs criticizing women and their lack of responsibility in their actions from rape. His solution in a post last year stated, “…Make rape legal if done on private property. I propose that we make the violent taking of a woman not punishable by law when done off public grounds.” Valizadeh further explains his thoughts by saying a woman would “protect her body in the same manner that she protects her purse and smartphone. If rape becomes legal, a girl with not enter an impaired state of mind where she can’t resist being dragged off to a bedroom with a man who she is unsure of.”

He now states that post was a satire and that neither him nor his supporters actually support the legalization of rape. However, the website is filled with similar content such as “Women Should Not Be Allowed To Vote” and “Why White Knights Voluntarily Enslave Themselves To Women.”
One news woman from Salt Lake City’s Fox 13 channel attempted to reach out to Valizadeh but the website said it would only accept emails from women that included a picture of themselves. Fox 13 was unwilling to meet those demands.

Valizadeh’s call to action was met with uproar from those upset at his teachings and ideas. In his meeting cancellation post, he wrote, “I can no longer guarantee the safety or privacy of the men who want to attend on February 6, especially since most of the meetups can not be made private in time. While I can’t stop men who want to continue meeting in private groups, there will be no official Return of Kings meetups. This listing page has been scrubbed of all locations. I apologize to all the supporters who are let down by my decision.”
