Footage shows grieving father Van Terry jumping across the court room to dive at Madison, who was sitting nearby, handcuffed and wearing an orange jumpsuit. Van’s daughter Shirellda Terry was murdered when she was 18-years-old. Madison was found guilty of killing Shirellda, Angela Deskins and Shetisha Sheeley. Their bodies were found near Madison’s home in 2013, wrapped in plastic bags.
Last month, a jury recommended Madison get the death penalty, and recently, judge Nancy McDonnell sentenced him to death for aggravated murder and kidnapping. He told police that he had strangled two people, but that he did not remember the third murder. On Thursday, Van appeared in court to give a victim impact statement. After her called Madison a “clown,” he turned to stare at Madison before he leapt over the tables to attack.
Van’s sister told FOX News that Van could no longer tolerate Madison’s smirking.
A spokesperson from the Cuyahoga County prosecutor’s office said they are deciding whether or not to prosecute Van, and they confirmed they saw Madison smirk.
