Summary: A source claims that Amber Heard met with high-powered feminist attorney Gloria Allred, possibly to discuss her divorce from Johnny Depp.
Is Amber Heard about to get a legal heavyweight in her corner? PEOPLE reports that the blonde actress sought a meeting with famed feminist attorney Gloria Allred, more than likely because of her tumultuous divorce proceedings against Captain Jack Sparrow himself, Johnny Depp.

Heard, 30, filed for divorce from Depp in late March, and shortly after, she filed a restraining order against him, alleging he abused her. She included photographs of a bruised eye as evidence and was granted the order, but that didn’t stop public speculation of her honesty. Adding fuel to that fire, Depp’s camp, which included his ex-wife, his daughter, his ex-partner, and his friend comedian Doug Stanhope, jumped publicly to his defense.
Stanhope’s words, which were published in The Wrap, were particularly brutal because they not only defended Johnny but they were a character assassination of Heard. The title alone says it all– “Johnny Depp is being blackmailed by Amber Heard—Here’s How I know.” Heard is now suing Stanhope for defamation and promised that all proceeds would be donated to charity.
Now Heard appears to be building a stronger legal team with Allred, who is famous for representing women in high-profile cases. For instance, Allred represented Jane Roe during the historic abortion case Roe vs. Wade, and she has also represented several women who accused Cosby of drugging and rape. A source said that on Friday, Heard met with the attorney for four hours. She is currently represented by Charles J. Harder, and there was no mention whether or not she wanted to replace Harder or wanted Allred to join his legal team.
