Man Strips and Threatens to Shoot Up Domino’s after Receiving Wrong Order

Summary: A drunken Iowan man removed his clothes and threatened to shoot up the Domino’s restaurant when the delivery driver with two free apology pizzas arrived the day after getting his order wrong.

A Domino’s Pizza in Iowa received a threat from a customer after messing up his order. Dusten Kemp, 30, threatened to “shoot up” the restaurant for receiving the wrong order he placed late Tuesday night. As a way of saying sorry for making him the wrong pizza, they were going to give him two free pizzas the next day.

A Domino’s employee arrived at his house in Coralville to bring him his pizzas. Kemp was “drunk and took his clothes off.” Kemp then grabbed the worker’s arm, making “several threats about them messing up his order.” The court filings then indicate that Kemp threatened to “come down to Domino’s” to “shoot up the place with a .45.”

During police questioning, Kemp admitted that a delivery driver had been at his home but denied making any threats against the pizza restaurant. Kemp is now being held on $8500 bond after his arrest for harassment and assault charges. He has been charged with first-degree harassment, which is an aggravated misdemeanor with up to years in prison and assault, a simple misdemeanor with up to 30 days in jail if convicted.
