Summary: A New York attorney was found guilty of paying two high school prostitutes for oral sex at his law office.

Attorney Eyal Katzman, 58, was found guilty the day before of abusing the then-16-year-olds in 2012. He was charged with a criminal sex act and patronizing a prostitute.

During the three day trial in Queens Supreme Court, the girls who were classmates at John Adams High School spoke to the jury. One said Katzman had her perform oral sex on him at his home, which doubled as his law office, while he fondled the other girl’s breasts. She said that she went to his house a total of three times, and he would pay her between $100 to $200 for oral sex.

The second girl testified that she received less–$60 a session. Prosecutors said that a third classmate received a finder’s fee of $20 for introducing the lawyer to the girls.

Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said Katzman was a predator.

“A jury has convicted the defendant of being a sexual predator,” Brown said to the New York Daily News. “As such, he has proven himself to be a threat to children and a clear and present danger to society in general. His conviction ensures that he is punished for his crimes.”

Katzman was arrested in July 2014 after one of his victims told her mother what had happened. The second girl came forward afterwards, and he was arrested a second time in February 2015.

Katzman’s sentencing is scheduled for August 22, and he faces up to eight years in prison along with registration on the sex offender list. Matthew Myers, who represents Katzman, said they plan to appeal.
