Summary: The video campaign “Hard Won” is taking on the masses with a lighthearted prank on a bunch of bodybuilders at Venice Beach.
Need to watch something entertaining and shocking? Weightlifter Kenneth Leverich takes on a group of bodybuilders at Muscle Beach. The surprising part of the video is that Leverich is disguised as an 84-year-old man that completely dominates the group, leaving the spectators in awe.
After four hours of makeup, a suitable old-man outfit and a slight limp, Leverich was prepared to stroll down Venice Beach and lift some barbells with the bodybuilders. The purpose of the prank was for an advertisement of the hard cider drink by Smith and Forge. Thrillist recruited Leverich to play the part because of his reputation as an athlete.
Leverich, 28, is a professional athlete and crossfit competitor. He can deadlift 525 lbs, do 62 pull-ups, back squat 465 lbs, snatch 302 lbs, and clean & jerk 365 lbs. He started crossfit with Orange Coast CrossFit over four years ago.
Take Leverich’s advice, “Just keep doing this, just keep doing this every day and get stronger” and drink “lots and lots of prune juice,” to be successful in life.
