When the woman got out of bed, the Pokémon character miraculously disappeared, but her phone app could still detect its presence in the room on her bed. She woke her sleeping husband to tell him what happened, but he did not believe her and told her to see a psychiatrist. When she told the police what happened, they also did not believe her and also suggested she see a psychiatrist.

Instead, the woman went to see a psychic who was also unable to help her. Her friend Ivan Makarov said, “She says there are too many Pokémon at her place and even the dog can sense them. She says the dog barks whenever she plays Pokémon Go.” Apparently the woman has since taken her husband’s and cop’s advice to see a psychiatrist.
