Summary: A Nebraska dad ate his adult children’s brownies, not realizing that they were special brownies made with marijuana.
A Nebraska man found brownies his adult children had left in his car so he decided to eat them like any normal person would. Michael Gollehon, 53, ate the four brownies he discovered in his car when he was taking groceries out of the car. His adult children had borrowed the car earlier in the day.

By 7:30 that evening, Gollehon’s wife Julie was calling police to report that her husband was “trippin,” using random profanities, and had called the family cat a “b****.” The couple had been watching television when his anxiety level grew. Julie attempted to reach her children to find out what had been in the brownies but was unsuccessful.

Paramedics responded to an overdose call but found Gollehon to have vitals in the normal range. The paramedics observed “Michael displaying odd behavior (crawling around on the floor, calling their cat a ‘b****,’ randomly using profanities and saying he feels like ‘he’s trippin.’” They helped him to his bed to sleep of the condition. They directed Julie to call back if his condition worsened.
One of the adult children arrived at the home when police were still there are informed them that the brownies belonged to another sibling and was “pretty sure it was just marijuana in the brownies.” This man undoubtedly learned a lesson about eating brownies that don’t belong to him.
