Summary: Infamous body-shamer Dani Mathers hired celebrity attorney Tom Mesereau.
Playboy model Dani Mathers is still in hot water because of her mean-spirited Snapchat, but she is now armed with a high-profile attorney, the same man who defended Michael Jackson when he was accused of molestation.
According to Inquistr, Mathers has hired celebrity attorney, Tom Mesereau, to defend her. In 2005, Mesereau successfully defended Michael Jackson during his child molestation trial, and he has represented other high profile celebs such as Mike Tyson, Robert Blake, and Suge Knight.
To recap, in July, Mathers was inside a locker room at an L.A. Fitness gym. She noticed an average-sized elderly woman naked near the shower, and the pretty blonde model seemed to take offense to that. Mathers snapped a photo of the woman without her knowledge, and then she uploaded it onto her Snapchat with the caption, “If I can’t unsee this then you can’t either.”
Instead of getting social media praise from her legion of followers, Mathers was obliterated by her fans online, and she faced swift backlash. Mathers issued an apology and removed the Snapchat, but nonetheless, she was soon banned from all L.A. Fitness gyms and fired from her job as a radio personality.
The Los Angeles Police Department also got involved in the matter, and they found Mathers’ victim, who stated she would cooperate to bring Mathers to justice. The victim has not been identified, but it is reported she is 70-years-old.
Mathers may face jail time for distribution of a private image.
One entertainment lawyer told The Wrap in late July that if Mathers’ victim were to sue for civil damages, the victim could most likely win $1 million.
Meserau told The Wrap that his client has yet to be notified of an official lawsuit or criminal charge filed against her.
