Summary: Even with a covered face, one Florida man fashioned a “man bun” that made him still recognizable to police.
Four video cameras were stolen from a business in Florida by a man with a distinct “man bun.” The cameras were able to pick up the image of a man wearing a “yellow colored pocket square” over his face and a shirt. The cameras also showed the man’s “man bun,” providing police with the help they needed to apprehend the accused thief.

Police claim 26-year-old Landon Hall stole the cameras from their mounts at the Villa Laundromat in St. Petersburg. His efforts to disguise his identity may have been successful if the defendant did not have “a very distinct ‘man bun’.”
A police officer had had several interactions with Hall in the past, making him easy for the cop to identify. He was arrested less than a week later for grand theft. He is being held on $2,000 bond for the felony charge.

Some of his previous run-ins with the police include trespassing, narcotics possession, retail theft, robbery, credit card fraud, loitering, burglary, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His previous mug shots did not include his distinctive “man bun” but the change in his appearance was old enough for the officer to recognize him.
