Summary: Kim Kardashian has threatened to sue a Huffington Post blogger who claimed she lied about her Paris robbery.
Kim Kardashian will not tolerate people who call her a liar. The curvy reality starlet has already filed a lawsuit against website, Media Take Out, and she is now threatening the Huffington Post and its blogger for saying her robbery was a sham.
According to TMZ, Kardashian and her legal team sent a letter to Huffington Post contributor Sharika Soal. They demanded that she apologize for her story that said Kardashian had faked her robbery and admitted that it was a “publicity stunt gone wrong.” Kardashian and camp said that if Soal did not publish a retraction that she would pursue legal action.
“The robbery was not a hoax nor a publicity stunt,” the letter said. “For you to attempt to twist those horrible and traumatic events for the Paris robbery into a narrative concerning a publicity stunt and purported felony conduct by my client is not only perverse and highly offensive to my client (and any reasonable person), but actionable.”
Kardashian said that she had never said those words, and in fact, the quoted quote actually came from a satirical website! Soal’s journalistic integrity was understandably under fire, and Huffington Post removed her article and banned her from the site. Soal told TMZ that she wants to apologize but that she can’t because she can no longer post. It is noted that Huffington Post contributors are not site employees, and they self-publish their own content.
Kardashian was allegedly robbed earlier this month in her Paris hotel room. The thieves reportedly took millions of dollars worth of jewelry, which Kardashian had showed off on her social media.
Huffington Post said that Kardashian’s beef is none of their concern, and Soal said that if Kardashian actually tried to come for her in court, then she would win a big pile or nothing because that’s all Soal’s got.
