Summary: A Florida man walked inside a 7-Eleven for a bathroom, only to use the walk-in cooler as a chilly place to relieve himself.
A drunken Florida man was unable to locate the bathroom inside a 7-Eleven so he used the walk-in cooler. Daniel Colon, 46, entered the convenience store in Treasure Island to use a bathroom around 7:30 pm Saturday evening. A stack of Busch beer was the victim of his urination.
The tipsy Colon was unable to locate a bathroom so walked through a door marked “Employees Only.†Cops allege that he then entered what was the 7-Eleven’s walk-in cooler. He started urinating over “several cases of beer.†The damaged beers turned out to be a few cases of Busch beer, totaling damages of almost $100.
An employee saw Colon enter the walk-in cooler and confronted him. Colon, assumedly, was done urinating so he walked out of the store and drove away.
Police pulled over his car in their search for the 7-Eleven suspect. He was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, burglary, and drunk driving. Colon admitted to police after being read his rights that he “could not find the bathroom so he entered the walk in cooler.â€
Colon is a Tampa resident. He is being held on $3,250 bond.
