Summary: A scuffle ensued inside a Jacksonville, Florida apartment between pregnant sisters over a weave given as a gift.
After giving her sister a Christmas present, a Florida woman changed her mind and wanted the gift back. Aryanna Ieasha Reed, 25, called up her 24-year-old sister, Tyteahni, demanding the gift, which happened to be a weave, back.
When Tyteahni refused to give the gift back, her older sister “came to the victim’s apartment and confronted her.” Tyteahni refused to give the weave back because “she had it on her head and didn’t want to go to work without it on her head.” The two got into a struggle with Aryanna attempting to grab the weave off Tyteahni’s head.
Aryanna decided that they only way to get the weave back was to start throwing punches at one sister, who happens to be one month pregnant. Tyteahni’s five-year-old daughter explained to police that Aryanna come to their home and “beat her mommy up.”
The police reported that Tyteahni appeared unharmed but “was very sore and was going to the hospital to get her and her unborn baby checked out.” Aryanna told police that there was a “physical altercation” in the apartment but could not recall any other details. She admitted to knowing Tyteahni was pregnant but that she was too.
When officers placed her under arrest, Aryanna became “very uncooperative. One officer noted that she “yelled at the top of her lungs, cursed me out, and accused me of being a racist.” She was released from jail after posting $35,000 bond.
Aryanna was arrested on the charge of aggravated battery on a pregnant woman a felony. It is unknown why she wanted the weave back.
Aryanna has a previous felony arrest for battering another pregnant woman in 2009. The charge was dropped to a misdemeanor battery, which she pleaded no contest to. She was placed on probation and ordered to attend anger management classes and perform 100 hours of community service. Aryanna violated her probation terms and was sentenced to 20 days in jail.
