For clients looking to fight a legal battle, hiring the best lawyer is more important than hiring a big name. While Big Law firms often have excellent litigation departments, boutique litigation firms still attract a fair share of business in major markets such as New York City. Everyone from corporate clients to people with smaller cases want the best value, and many boutique firms have earned a reputation for not only providing quality legal service, but also for being able to provide a personal touch that is often lacking with giant national firms.

This year, JD Journal compiled a list of the top boutique litigation firms in New York City, and the following order is ranked by size. The firms listed below have less than a hundred lawyers and focus on a few practice areas.

1. Moses & Singer

The direct involvement of our partners and our commitment to your success means aggressive, results-driven representation with total focus on value, quality and individual attention,” their website states.
