Summary: JD Journal announces its top trust and estates law firms in Los Angeles.
Note: These are BCG Attorney Search’s favorite trusts and estates law firms in Los Angeles.
A trusts and estates attorney can draft wills and create trusts for clients as well as advise them on estate tax planning. The West Coast has a thriving market for this specialty, according to BCG Attorney Search, and this year, JD Journal wanted to recognize the leading trust and estates boutiques or midsize firms in one of the major markets, Los Angeles.
The following list is ranked by size.
1. Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz
Frankfurt Kurnit is a midsize law firm with 82 attorneys that originally was a boutique that serviced entertainment professionals in New York City. Founded 40 years ago, the former boutique has grown into a midsize firm with offices in New York and Los Angeles. The firm represents individuals, business owners, and corporate executives on all aspects of tax and estate planning.
Over 50 years ago, attorneys Harold Weinstock and Brian Manion formed the boutique, Weinstock Manion; and the firm has been a pioneer in estate planning ever since. It now has 15 attorneys who specialize in all areas of trusts and estates, and it has won awards from Best Lawyers and U.S. News.
“Our firm has been at the forefront of estate planning, estate and trust administration and estate and trust litigation for over 50 years. Over the decades, we consistently have provided outstanding, cost-efficient results for our clients,” the firm’s website states.
3. Hoffman Saban & Watenmaker
Los Angeles-based Hoffman Saban & Watenmaker was founded in 1981. It is one of the nation’s premiere trusts and estates boutiques, and it represents diverse domestic and international clients with estates ranging in size from several million dollars to in excess of $1 billion.
