The Kardashians are known to be a little extra, and their divorce parties are no exception. On Thursday, third Kardashian sister Khloe celebrated her divorce name change with a cake that looked like her driver’s license and predominately displayed the return of her old name.
After dating for one month, Khloe Kardashian married basketball player Lamar Odom in 2009, and she changed her name to “Khloe Kardashian Odom.” Their relationship’s ups and downs were documented on her family’s hit reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, but their love couldn’t survive Lamar Odom’s alleged drug problems and infidelities. Khloe filed for divorce in 2013.
In October of 2016, the troubled pair’s divorce was officially finalized. In the years between, Lamar had almost fatally overdosed at a brothel in Las Vegas and Khloe had withdrawn the divorce in order to make medical decisions on his behalf. After his recovery, she was seen dating rapper French Montana and basketball player Tristan Thompson.
On Thursday, Khloe’s assistant threw her a party to celebrate the name change from Khloe Kardashian Odom to Khloe Kardashian. The assistant had a cake made that looked like Khloe’s driver’s license, and it displayed the return of her old name as well as jokes such as “Weight: Skinny bitch” and “Address: 13 Freedom Lane.”
Khloe’s famous sister Kim Kardashian was there to celebrate and document the party. In a Snapchat video, Kim said, “You guys, look what Khloé’s assistants got for her because she got a new passport without her old last name. It’s her new last name.”
Khloe is now the host of the reality show Revenge Body, which helps people overcome their problems through exercise and healthy eating. After Khloe’s own tribulations with Lamar, she famously lost 70 pounds and went from being known as the chubby, funny sister to being a bonafide fitness babe.
