Summary: Police received a Crime Stopper tip of a video showing a woman having sex with a dog online, leading to her arrest.
A 43-year-old woman was arrested and charged with unnatural intercourse with a dog after a tip came into Crime Stoppers about the animal abuse. A video was posted online showing the alleged sex session, leading the police to Amy Nicole Graves.
Graves remains behind bars until her first court appearance. She could be sentenced up to 10 years in prison if she is convicted. She would also have to register as a sex offender. Graves, a photographer, was booked into Lamar County Jail in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
The breed of the dog was not identified. Sheriff Danny Rigel only stated that the dog was left with family members. The police are certain the video took place within the past year. Animal rights activists tumbled upon the video featuring a dog “repeatedly sodomized” by his owner. Sheriff Rigel explained, “This is a tip that came through crime stoppers. We have video evidence of the crime occurring that was posted online, which led us to the search and arrest warrant.”
Sadly, Rigel said this is not the first time he has seen this type of crime but that it is a “very rare” occurrence.
Do you think the dog should have been left with family members or taken to a safe shelter to find a better home? Tell us in the comments below.
