Moore secret service officer

Summary: A secret service uniformed officer was arrested and then fired for enticing minors to engage in sexual activity.

Lee Robert Moore was a uniformed Secret Service officer until his arrest for sexting minors resulted in his termination from the position. Moore, 38, pleaded guilty to the charges against him, alleging that he sent sexually explicit messages to minors while on duty at the White House.

Moore was arrested back in November of 2015. He has been in custody since his arrest. He pleaded guilty to one count of attempting to transfer obscene materials to a minor and one count of enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity.

In federal court on Wednesday, Moore explained that he had a profile on the social media app Meet24. The app allows for the exchange of text and pictures. He started communicating with who he thought was a 14-year-old girl but was actually Delaware detectives working undercover as part of a child predator task force.

Prosecutors stated, “A number of the online chats between Moore and the undercover officers posing as a female minor were sexual in nature and on several occasions Moore sent pictures of himself, including one sexually explicit image.â€

After Moore was arrested, investigators determined that he was also sending sexually explicit pictures of himself to a minor in Florida, even enticing the minor to send sexually explicit images of herself. He also admitted to doing the same thing with a 14-year-old girl in Texas and a 17-year-old girl in Missouri.

Moore had been originally charged in Delaware but he requested that the charges be transferred to Florida so he could plead guilty to the charges at the same time.
