Summary: Sig Hansen’s daughter is suing him for allegedly molesting her as a child.
Deadliest Catch star Sig Hansen has been accused of molestation by his daughter, and now a disturbing sketch she made as a little girl will be included in the explosive lawsuit filed against him.
Hansen’s daughter, Melissa Eckstrom, 28 and an attorney, accused Hansen of sexually abusing her when she was two years old, Radar Online reported. She filed court documents in Seattle, Washington that stated her father, 50, molested her in 1990 after he and her mother separated.
In a heartbreaking court declaration, Eckstrom said Hansen hurt her genital region and claimed to have “memories of being in a room alone with my father and crying out in pain.” She said that during a childhood medical exam she told the doctor that “daddy puts his finger in my potty-pot,” referring to her vagina, and that she had told her grandmothers that “daddy pottied on my leg.”
Eckstrom included in her lawsuit a disturbing photo she allegedly drew as a kid that explained her abuse. The drawing was made during a counseling session, and it showed characters named “mommy” and “daddy” as well as a girl that represented Eckstrom.
Hansen said that his daughter’s charges are false and that the lawyer was attempting an “old-fashioned shakedown” after he refused to pay her law school tuition, which cost up to $300,000.
“‘This is nothing more than an old-fashioned shakedown. It’s a completely frivolous lawsuit full of lies that my ex-wife made up to take away my daughter, and still uses to try to extort money from me. It’s blackmail,” Hansen said The Seattle Times.
