Summary: An Ohio woman with a distinct tattoo was charged by police for engaging in sexual acts with a dog in a New Year’s Day video.
A 33-year-old Ohio woman has been arrested for bestiality with a dog. How did the police know it was her? Amber Finney has a paw print tattoo on her chest that can be seen in the video.
Police allege that the video was recorded on New Year’s Day. Finney claims the video was set up and that someone had slipped something in her drink so she was drugged with no recollection of what happened. She pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor charge under Warren, Ohio’s bestiality law enacted a year ago. Warren, which is located 55 miles east of Cleveland, became the first city in Ohio to classify bestiality acts, deemed as any sexual acts with animals, to be a first-degree misdemeanor. The punishment for such acts is up to 180 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. A motivating factor to the reclassifying of the law was a case involving a 61-year-old man having repeated sex with two boxers belonging to his daughter but there have been a number of cases to appear in the news that helped push lawmakers to take action.
When the man from Warren was charged with animal cruelty, Ohio did not have a law against bestiality. Salvador Rendon was turned in to police by his wife who caught in several times in the act of having sex with the male and female boxer. Police believe he had sex with the dogs over ten times over the course of ten years. An animal activist in the area, Jason Cooke said, “When cases like this come to the forefront, it’s an unfortunate incident, but it brings about change, because it gets people talking and it gets people calling down to Columbus and saying why is this still legal in the state of Ohio.”
The video of a woman believed to be Finney was shared to social media. Workers at a Walgreen’s pharmacy recognized Finney as the woman police were looking for on the news that was “into trouble with animals.” The workers called 911 and reported her, leading to her arrest soon after. A warrant was issued for her arrest in January. The day after she was arrested, Finney entered her plea in Warren Municipal Court.
Police officers arrived at Finney’s home at 1125 Ward Street Northwest around 9 pm Sunday night. Finney was found in the basement hiding and crying. Although Finney claims the video is fake, investigators are certain the video is genuine and that the encounter with the dog did happen on New Year’s Day like Finney claims.
Police first received complaints about a graphic video of a woman engaging in sexual acts with a dog on January 24. The criminal complaint states that Finney “did knowingly engage in sexual conduct with an animal, or knowingly possess, sell or purchase an animal with the intent that it be subjected to sexual conduct.” Finney was booked into the Trumbull County Jail for her next hearing on April 20.
Finney goes by the name “HoodPrincess” on Facebook. She has owned a number of pets over the years including a black-and-white cat and a pit bull mix named ‘Biggie.’ It is not clear which dog is featured in the video or if it was one of her own dogs.
