JD Journal has analyzed the legal industry in the Bay, and we have identified the top litigation boutiques there. The following is our list of the best of the best in 2017:

Braun Hagey & Borden

Braun Hagey & Borden LLP is a boutique firm that “protects businesses, investors and entrepreneurs in high-stakes legal disputes throughout the country,” according to their website. The cases they take on include class actions, intellectual property litigation, and bankruptcy matters. With offices in San Francisco and New York City, the small boutique prides itself on winning tough cases against much bigger firms.

Durie Tangri

With clients such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox, Medium, and Pinterest, Durie Tangri has made a name for itself as the civil litigation boutique for the tech industry. Located in San Francisco, the 23 attorney law firm focuses on civil litigation, and it has been recognized for its excellence. For instance, Chambers USA said, Durie Tangri “has a sterling reputation, representing market-leading companies in some of the most complex and highly publicized cases in the country.”

Farmer Brownstein Jaeger

Boutique litigation firm, Farmer Brownstein Jaeger LLP  serves large public companies and their executives as well as small businesses and entrepreneurs. According to the company website, the law firm’s “team of lawyers has extensive experience in antitrust, securities and complex business litigation, and in government investigations conducted by authorities in the United States, Europe, Asia and South America.”

Feinberg Day Alberti & Thompson

Located in San Francisco, Feinberg Day Alberti & Thompson is a litigation boutique that caters to the area’s bustling technology industry, and their specialty practice is IP litigation. According to the company website, Feinberg Day “are trial lawyers with unmatched technical depth and over 100 years of experience in IP and commercial litigation. We have taken that set of skills and created a refreshingly new and unique solution to achieve the best results for our clients — from Fortune 100 companies to individual inventors.”

Nassiri & Jung 

Nassiri & Jung LLP has two offices, one in Los Angeles and one in San Francisco. The litigation boutique focuses on employment law, class action lawsuits, and trial & appellate litigation. According to the company website, their philosophy is to prepare for trial, not a settlement.
