Oklahoma attorney Kelly Anne Hensley lives with her parents in their spacious, million dollar home in Nicholls Hills, Oklahoma. On February 11, a passing motorist called the police about a woman wearing a white shirt throwing raw eggs at parked cars along Wilshire Ave.

A surveillance camera from a home across the street picked up what was assumed to be Hensley, 37, throwing the eggs at illegally parked cars along the street outside her parent’s home. She was picked up and charged with misdemeanor vandalism. The cars that got nailed by the suspect were apparently parked there for a bridal shower in the area. The suspect apparently hit five cars that were parked on Wilshire Ave near Waverly.

Hensley said in a statement, “I am an innocent person who was wrongfully accused. This was a case of false identification and there was no surveillance video of any individual throwing eggs.  I have been a practicing attorney (mainly federal court) in the State of Texas for the last four years.”

A motion to dismiss the charges and warrant against her have been dropped, according to the form filed in the district court of Oklahoma County: Motion to Dismiss and Recall Warrant.

Hensley and her parents have been fighting city hall over the parking issue outside their home for a long time. Police were still surprised that she resorted to vandalism. Nichols Hills Police Chief Steven Cox said, “I couldn’t even imagine why somebody would be upset that cars were parked on the street legally.”

Hensley denied being involved in the incident when police confronted her. She faces a $500 fine and up to a year in jail for “molesting a standing vehicle.” Hensley is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma and Texas. She practiced law in Oklahoma from 2006 to 2012. There is no record of her name in any court matters after that time.

Many lawyers end up making bad decisions. Some attorneys turn on their work while others turn on themselves by letting drugs and alcohol take control. A former Akin Gump partner turned on his work by trying to sell confidential information for a lot of money. On the other side of the line, a Canadian lawyer allowed and even helped a friend experiment with heroin because her own addiction was clouding proper judgment. In this particular case, it turned out to be a case of false identification, and all charges against Hensley have been dropped.
