Summary: Celeb Jihad recently published hacked nude photographs from stars such as Tiger Woods, Lindsay Vonn, and Miley Cyrus.

Another day, another hack. The latest cyber crime has stars such as Tiger Woods, Lindsay Vonn, and Katharine McPhee battling the infamous website Celeb Jihad, but so far, Celeb Jihad is not backing down, even with the threats of legal action.

Woods and the other celebrities mentioned had embarrassing photos stolen that were published on the website, Celeb Jihad, which has become notorious for publishing hacked celeb pictures. For instance, earlier this year, they published partial nudes of Emma Watson, who also threatened legal action.

Woods’ nude photos were stolen from his ex-girlfriend Lindsay Vonn, who is also suing. The photos were taken when the pair were dating sometime between 2013-2015.

“It is an outrageous and despicable invasion of privacy for anyone to steal and illegally publish private intimate photos,” a rep for Vonn told Fox News.

Woods’ attorney Michael Holtz added that the team will “aggressively pursue any websites who seek to capitalize on or encourage this outrageous conduct.”

According to TMZ, the stars have told Celeb Jihad that they would sue if the nude photographs were not removed. The celebrity-focused pornographic site had recently published a new crop of hacked photographs of celebrities in various stages of undress. According to IB Times, there is a video of Lindsay Vonn in a bathroom, a full frontal image of Woods, and photos of Katharine McPhee completely naked.

Miley Cyrus and her ex-girlfriend Stella Maxwell also had nude photographs leaked, and in some images, a half-naked Miley Cyrus can be seen urinating in public. Maxwell is now dating Twilight star Kristen Stewart, who has also been affected by the hack.

This hacking has been compared to the 2010 scandal called The Fappening or CelebGate, where a team of unrelated hackers phished celebrities for their passwords and then stole hundreds of photographs. Celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, and Gabrielle Union were affected.

At the time of that hack, Lawrence was interviewed by the FBI, and she said that the hacking experience was akin to “sexual assault.”

“[Lawrence] became very distraught and I had to stop the interview at one point because of her emotional reaction to the information being discussed,” an FBI agent had said in court filings. “(She) stated she was having an anxiety attack, and was visibly shaken.”

So far, at least two hackers involved in The Fappening have been arrested and charged for their cyber crime.

Despite the multiple legal threats, Los Angeles Times said that Celeb Jihad is not caving in and that the photos in question are still up online.
