Mel B is involved in a bitter divorce battle with her current husband, Stephen Belafonte; but now her first husband is entering the fray.
Jimmy Gulzar, a former backup dancer and Mel B’s first husband, gave a shocking interview to The Mirror recently, where he said that the Spice Girl made “him look like the bad guy” during their breakup and that she was doing the same thing to Belafonte.
Gulzar, 49, is the father of Mel B’s oldest child, Phoenix, 18; and Gulzar criticized his ex for having three children with three different men. She has one child with Gulzar, one with Eddie Murphy, and one with Belafonte.
“Does she really think all these men are wrong and she isn’t? We are talking about a woman who had three children by three different men,” Gulzar said.
Gulzar said that the America’s Got Talent judge shouldn’t receive sympathy from the public regarding her divorce, and he implied that she was vindictive and hurtful.
Gulzar met Mel B when he was a professional dancer on tour with the Spice Girls. They fell in love and were married, but after only two years, their union turned ugly.
“I was said to be the bad guy – Gold Card Jimmy who couldn’t keep her satisfied. It was horrible, the power of celebrity. What good is cash when you’re emotionally dying?” Gulzar said.
Gulzar was interviewed to comment on Mel B’s divorce from Belafonte, which has become nasty. She accused her latest husband of abuse and impregnating their former nanny, Lorraine Gilles, 26. These accusations resulted in a countersuit from Belafonte as well as a defamation lawsuit from Gilles, a stunning blonde from Germany.
Gilles said that Mel B and she had a sexual relationship while working together and that Gilles had never been impregnated by Belafonte, 42. Her side of the story was that Mel B and Belafonte had a wild open relationship that included frequent threesomes, and that it was unfair of Mel B to portray Gilles as a homewrecker.
The Sun said that Mel B’s three lawsuits could cost her millions and that her friends want her to back down. They worry that the star, who is worth over $40 million, could ruin her career and lose her fortune.
“Mel’s lifestyle has always been pricey, but these legal bills are another level,” an anonymous friend told the newspaper. “She knows the consequences could be catastrophic if she doesn’t settle, but she’s not used to backing down.”
