Hackers Post Nude Justin Bieber Photos on Selena Gomez’s Instagram

On Monday, Selena Gomez’s 125 million Instagram followers were greeted with a sexy surprise. Hackers got a hold of the pop star’s account and posted several nude photos of her ex, Justin Bieber; and her account was swiftly shut down.

Variety confirmed that Gomez’s account was hacked and that she has taken back control. Bieber’s nude photos have been removed, and the posted images were reportedly taken when the Canadian singer took a vacation in Bora Bora in 2015 with blogger, Jayde Pierce.

Gomez, 25, and Bieber, 23, started dating in 2010 and from then on they were engaged in a tumultuous on-and-off again relationship for six years. Gomez is now dating singer The Weeknd and Bieber has been linked to several stars such as Hailey Baldwin and Sofia Ritchie. Despite appearing to have moved on, fans can’t seem to disconnect the two stars.

The nude photos of Bieber first appeared online in 2015 and were published by The New York Daily News. At the time, Beiber said that their publication made him feel “violated.”

“Like, I feel like I can’t step outside and feel like I can go outside naked,” Bieber told Access Hollywood in 2015. “You should feel comfortable in your own space…especially that far away.”

Bieber is not the only star who has had his privacy violated by hackers. Recently, a crop of nudes were stolen from celebrities such as Tiger Woods, Katharine McPhee, and Miley Cyrus and published on the pornographic website, Celeb Jihad. Woods and McPhee had their lawyers ask to have their photographs removed or they would sue for copyright infringement.

The recent wave of hacked photos were a part of The Fappening 2.0, a name derived from The Fappening. In 2014, a group of hackers that were unrelated phished numerous celebrities for their passwords to their emails and cloud accounts, and they stole hundreds of photographs. Those photographs were published online, and many featured celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton in various stages of undress. This hack was known as CelebGate and The Fappening, and at the time, stars also reported feeling assaulted by the loss of privacy.

The FBI investigated The Fappening, and several hackers have already been arrested and pled guilty. No word yet on what will happen to those who hacked Selena Gomez’s super popular Instagram account.
