Once a cheater, always a cheater? In the case of Kevin Hart, that old expression may ring true. The mega-successful comedian has found himself the victim of an expensive extortion scheme, and instead of giving in, he took to social media.
Hart, 38, posted an apology video to his wife, Eniko Hart, who is pregnant with his child. The funnyman never explicitly admits to cheating, but in the caption, he said he was sorry and that he’d “do better.”
“Sending so many apologies to my wife & kids. I gotta do better and I will. I’m not perfect and have never claimed to be …I love you all,” Hart wrote yesterday.
Since the apology, the blackmailer has released a video to TMZ. The video has a run time of 4 minutes and 47 seconds, and TMZ called the tape “highly produced.” In it, there are snippets of Kevin Hart’s interviews where he talks about how he won’t cheat anymore because in the age of social media it is near impossible to get away with it. Those clips are interspersed with footage of two anonymous people in bed having sex. The man eventually gets out of bed, and that’s when we see he looks a lot like Kevin Hart.
Hart cheated on his first wife with his current wife, and the video seems to show that the way you get your man is how you’re going to lose him. Hart married his mistress Eniko Parrish in 2016, and she is currently 31 weeks pregnant, Mercury News said. He was previously married to Torrei Hart, and they have two children together.
The extortionist has been shameless that the release is all about a giant cash grab–up to several million dollars–but he or she also said that they’re intention was to expose the star of his shortcomings.
“The real reason Kevin Hart orchestrated the Texas Hurricane Relief Fund, this so-called good deed was done to get ahead as he knew this damaging footage was one click away from being exposed as the liar and cheater he is. Kevin Hart was privy to me wanting to expose him as I have made countless attempts to expose this information to various blogs, in an attempt to also get paid,” the extortionist said to TMZ.
TMZ reported that the FBI is looking into the case and that it is unclear whether the woman Hart cheated with is the extortionist, a third party secretly taped them, or if someone gained access to the mistress’ iPhone. The FBI has a suspect in mind, but that name has yet to be released.
The identification of the mistress in the video has been identified, TMZ said. She has agreed to sit for a lie detector test to clear her name, but she’ll only do it for six-figures! TMZ said that she has already lawyered up. No word yet on if she’ll sign a book deal soon.
