Summary: Blac Chyna blames the cancellation of Rob & Chyna on the Kardashian family, not on her poor relationship with her ex-fiancé.
Blac Chyna is suing the Kardashian family for millions. The ex-fiancé of Rob Kardashian claims that Kris Jenner’s crew of multi-millionaire ladies were responsible for the cancellation of Chyna and Rob’s reality show, “Rob and Chyna.”
According to legal documents obtained by Us Weekly, Chyna said that the Kardashian family used their influence at E! to get her reality show canceled. Chyna claimed that she, Rob, the network, and their production company were interested in doing a second season of “Rob and Chyna,” but their efforts were thwarted by Kris Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner.
“They decided to start a war by trashing her online repeatedly, so it’s on … and we are going to vigorously fight for Chyna in this case,” Chyna’s attorney Lisa Bloom told Us Weekly. “Even though Chyna left Rob at the end of 2016, the network was still interested in doing season two of the show. How would these two live separate lives and co-parent a baby? Would they get back together? This is classic reality show material, but the show was killed. Chyna’s rep was told it was because the Kardashian family would not allow it to go forward.”
Chyna said the Kardashian women contacted E! in February to “demand the network not proceed with a second season of Rob & Chyna.” Chyna’s attorney said that the Kardashian family knowingly deprived her of income.
“It’s not just she lost a lot of income by not getting season two or all the other seasons that would’ve followed, it’s the endorsement deals, it’s the appearances fees, promotion of her products,” Bloom said. “This is how reality shows can become very lucrative, and the Kardashian family knows well because they have exploited the economic benefits of reality TV better than anyone … and God bless them for it. I admire their business savvy in doing that, but they know very well how important it is to have a hit show so other things could flow from it. They knew what they were depriving Chyna of.”
However, while Chyna is claiming that the Kardashians are to blame for Rob & Chyna‘s cancellation, sources said that it was Chyna who ruined the show. Speaking anonymously to TMZ, people connected to E! claimed that Chyna refused to be in the same room as her baby daddy, Rob; and that a show couldn’t be made out of their unhappy relationship.
The couple first began dating in January 2016 but fell apart in December of 2016, according to Us Weekly. The show’s original premise was supposed to be about their love life, but the pair imploded. For instance, in July, Rob famously posted nude photographs of Chyna on his Instagram without her permission, and he said that she had cheated on him. Instagram briefly shut down his account, and there was a possibility that Rob could be charged with posting “revenge porn,” a crime in California.
Chyna is also suing Rob for battery, claiming that in April he pushed her to the ground. Rob had filed his own assault and battery lawsuit against Chyna, alleging that she punched him in the face and tried to strangle him in December 2016. He filed that lawsuit on September 27, according to Us Weekly.
Rob and Chyna share custody of their 11-month-old daughter Dream after reaching an agreement in September. Chyna, whose real name is Angela White, is the mother of Tyga’s child. Tyga left Chyna to date Rob’s half-sister Kylie Jenner in 2014; and in a twist fit for a soap opera or reality show, Chyna and Rob formed a couple less than two years later.
