“The Hoff” Gets Monthly Spousal Support Cut Down to $5K

Summary: Actor David Hasselhoff was able to get the spousal support payments to his ex-wife cut in half to only $5,000 a month.

Pamela Bach was receiving $10,000 a month for the last year from her ex-husband David Hasselhoff after their split in 2006. The former Baywatch star had requested the amount be changed to $0 a month in spousal support but an agreement reached by the pair settled in the middle.

The new agreement will begin December 1 and end no later than November 30, 2020. Hasselhoff, 65, and Bach, 55, have two grown daughters together – Taylor, 27, and Hayley, 25. They were married for 27 years before divorcing in 2006.

Hasselhoff was demanding that Bach go back to work to support herself but she claimed it was too hard to find work as an older actress. She contended that the “current market” was harsh for older actresses. Her legal team provided documents showing she made “good faith and reasonable efforts” to find work in the acting industry.

Bach explained that the time she had spent away from the entertainment business as a stay-at-home mom made it impossible to get hired for anything. She did find some work on a UK reality show called “Celebrity Big Brother” and the follow-up show “Big Brother’s Bit On The Side” in 2011. Her last TV role was in 2003 in “Missing”. In 2002, she had a role in “More Than Puppy Love.”

She argued that it was not fair for him to cut her off since he was making around $1 million a year. She put the blame on Hasselhoff, saying she gave up her career to raise their kids so that he could continue his acting career.

Bach also claimed that Hasselhoff still owed her $1 million from the separation of their assets when they divorced in 2006. She claims she only got $325,000 from the home while he got a boat, jet skis, two trusts with a lot of assets, and their home.

He was paying her $21,000 a month in alimony before getting it reduced last year. His latest Hollywood film appearance was in the big-screen version of Baywatch that came out this year. He has been with his fiancée Hayley Roberts, a Welsh former shop assistant since 2013. Hasselhoff and Roberts, 37, met in Cardiff Bay, Wales in 2011, when he was there filming Britain’s Got Talent.

His first wife was actress Catherine Hickland, who guest-starred on his hit show Knight Rider. They were married from 1984 to 1989. Less than a year after his split from Hickland, he was married to Bach. When the couple first divorced in 2006, each parent received custody of one child. Hasselhoff was eventually able to obtain custody of both kids.
