Summary: A South Carolina man and woman arguing over a payment for sexual services asked a police officer to help settle their argument.
A man and woman couldn’t come to an agreement over the payment for her services, so they sought help from a police officer. The pair is now facing prostitution charges since they turned to a law enforcement official for assistance in settling the dispute over a $150 payment for prostitution.
A South Carolina state trooper was flagged down by the duo around 1 AM Thursday. The incident report states that Kimberly Moore, 30, and Robert Sartor Jr., 65, were outside a Marathon gas station when they saw the officer. Moore told the trooper that Sartor “owed her money for prostitution.” The trooper called a Union County Sheriff’s deputy to assist him.
Moore explained to a Union County Sheriff’s Office deputy that she had contacted Sartor, asking “him to come get her and get a hotel room.” She claims he offered her $150, knowing “what the money was for.”
Sartor told the deputies that he picked up Moore “because she was messaging him on Facebook.” He admitted to offering “her $150” to get a hotel room. He even stated he “bought her some new clothes at the dollar store.” He explained that they went to a friend’s house and showered together, although he says he never touched her. Moore’s version of events varied slightly. She noted that Sartor tried to get into the shower with her but denied him entry into the shower.
He contended that Moore owed him money for “driving her around” but he was found wearing gym shorts without any underwear, something common “when looking for a prostitute.” Sartor also had a cock ring in his pocket. A cock ring is a “sex toy used for sexual pleasure.” The two factors of him going commando and carrying a sex toy undermined his arguments that he was just out and not looking for a prostitute.
The two were booked into the county jail for prostitution as a misdemeanor charge. They were later released on a $500 personal recognizance bond before their January 12 court hearing. Moore has been previously arrested for grand larceny, credit card fraud, drunk driving, filing a false police report, disorderly conduct and narcotics possession.
Sartor further explained that his wife is unaware of “his extra activities” that he engages in when he leaves the house.
