Summary: Rapper Birdman was told to hand over the keys to his $14 million Miami mansion.

Birdman has been ordered to surrender his $14.5 million mansion. According to The Blast, the rapper and founder of the lucrative record label Cash Money was ordered to vacate the premises and surrender access to his security system.

The court order was made when a judge ruled on a lawsuit filed by EMG Transfer Agent, which said Birdman failed to pay a $12 million loan. The mansion, which had a higher value than the loan, was put up as collateral in 2015, according to The Blast.

Birdman, 48, will be allowed to keep the furniture, which includes recliners in his home theater, but he must give up the home as well as any leases or contracts associated with it.

The Miami mansion that Birdman must give up reportedly has 20,000 square feet, according to Celebrity Net Worth. The home was previously owned by producer Scott Storch and Rockstar energy drink creator Russell Weiner, and it has 7 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.

Knowing he needed to pay back his loan, Birdman had tried to sell the home multiple times, according to Celebrity Net Worth, but he could not find any takers. Now that he has been ordered to give it up, no one is allowed to sell it, so it’s a complete loss for the producer.

BET reported that in December Birdman seemed to not be too deterred about the threat of losing his Miami mansion, which was purchased for $14 million but said to be worth more thanks to renovations. BET said that on Instagram, Birdman showed off his private jets and other signs of wealth, even though his rap rivals seemed to be loving the news of his money woes.

According to Forbes, Birdman, real name Bryan Williams, had a net worth of $110 million in 2017. He co-founded Cash Money and is a frequent collaborator with Lil’ Wayne. The Cash Money label has signed hip-hop and rap artists such as Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil’ Wayne.

Birdman is also rumored to be dating singer Toni Braxton, who has had her own financial troubles. The “Unbreak My Heart” singer filed for bankruptcy twice, despite earning millions with her hit songs and concert tours. Recently, the two released a duet together.
