Summary: Mariah Carey has been accused by another former colleague of sexual harassment.
Mariah Carey allegedly likes to hang out naked, and one former employee claims that seeing the diva in the nude amounts to sexual harassment. According to TMZ, Carey’s ex-manager Stella Stolper (Bulochnikov) is considering suing Carey… and spilling a lot of her secrets in the process.
Recently, Carey revealed that she suffered from bipolar disorder, which explains her erratic behavior over the past few decades. In Stolper’s recently filed legal documents, she said that Carey fails to take her bipolar medication and also has a substance abuse problem.
Stolper said that Carey repeatedly sexually harassed her by hanging out naked and sometimes doing sexual acts in her presence. Stolper said that she was unfairly fired in the middle of her three-year contract and is owed a boatload of cash.
Carey responded to Stolper’s potential lawsuit and called it “baseless.”
“If this frivolous and baseless claim is filed, we will defend against it vigorously and successfully,” Carey’s representative said to TMZ.
Stolper said that she will sue Carey if the singer doesn’t make things right, but she is giving the “All I Want for Christmas” songstress time to fix things before an official lawsuit is filed. This week, Stolper filed documents showing her intent to sue Carey, according to Music Times.
In her complaint, Stolper accused Carey of violating the U.S. Civil Rights Act and the Fair Employment and Housing Act. She is seeking unspecified damages, but The Blast reported that Carey may owe millions in commissions.
Stolper and Carey were once good friends, but Carey let Stolper go in 2017. Carey told E! News that Stolper was fired because of her job performance.
“Stella Bulochnikov was terminated from employment as Mariah’s manager due to failure to perform her job effectively and ill-serving her client,” Carey’s representative said. “Stella was not under contract for employment. She has been spreading false rumors to any media outlet that will publish them. We won’t respond to lies and threats. Again, if this frivolous and baseless claim is filed, we will defend against it vigorously and successfully. It is also interesting to note that this is the first lawyer who will move forward on Stella’s behalf, having previously gone through three others who wouldn’t.”
Stolper’s attorney is Pierce O’Donnell, according to E! Network.
O’Donnell said that if Carey does not pay his client what is owed the lawsuit will expose even more of Carey’s dirty laundry.
