Summary: Megan Fox is suing Brad Pitt’s manager for allegedly selling her a bad home.Â
Megan Fox says that she bought a home in Malibu thinking she was getting a great place to raise her young family. Instead, she bought a money pit, and she’s suing the real estate seller group for $5 million.
According to TMZ, Fox is suing the seller group which includes Cynthia Pett-Dante, who manages Brad Pitt. Fox said that in 2016 she paid $3.2 million for a house in Malibu but the seller group failed to inform her that the house was riddled with problems, including mold and features not up to code.
In her lawsuit which was filed on Thursday, Fox said that when she purchased the Malibu pad she was pregnant and raising two toddlers. She said that she was misled into believing the home was move-in ready.
After the purchase, Fox said the house ended up being a “nightmarish living hell.” She said that it was built on a slope that needed to be regraded and features such as animal pens, a gazebo, and stone walls were not up to code.
Fox said that there was also mold everywhere when she moved in, including her childrens’ bedrooms.
Pitt’s manager, Pett-Dante, is the co-owner of Brillstein Entertainment Partners, a powerful talent management company in Hollywood. She is married to Peter Dante, an actor who frequently stars in Adam Sandler movies. In 2005, she was named a female Hollywood power player by The Hollywood Reporter, who mentioned that she had purchased a Malibu home so that she could care for animals.
“A notable animal-rights advocate, Pett-Dante recently bought a property off a Malibu landslide and set up a farm to host goats, sheep and pigs that were sent to slaughter by a petting zoo shuttered during the recession,” The Hollywood Reporter wrote.
Fox has starred in big blockbuster movies such as Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. She is married to Brian Austin Green, who is best known for his role in Beverly Hills 90210. The pair have three children: Noah, Bodhi, and Journey. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the actress has an estimated fortune of $8 million.
TMZ said that Pett-Dante has yet to respond to this lawsuit.
