Summary: Jennifer Aniston and her ex are fighting over custody of their four dogs.
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s divorce is going to the dogs. According to Radar Online, the A-list couple is fighting for custody of their four canines, and one source said, “The custody of the dogs is a massive sticking point in their divorce agreement!”
On February 15, Aniston, 49, and Theroux, 46, announced they were ending their marriage. Radar said that the union failed because Theroux wanted to have kids and had a problem with cheating. The high-profile couple has a combined fortune of $225 million, the majority of the money being Aniston’s.
“Jen was hurt when she heard he’s been blaming her for them not having a family. They’re at the stage that they’ll do anything to hurt each other,” a source told Radar Online.
While Aniston and Theroux do not have children, they were extremely attached to their four dogs. In 2015, Aniston even said that one of them, Clyde, “always sleeps at [her] feet.”
A source told Radar that they didn’t believe Theroux actually cared about the dogs but wanted to use them as leverage to get more out of a divorce settlement. Aniston, who starred in “Friends” and numerous other hit movies, reportedly is worth about $220 million. Although not as wealthy as his wife, Theroux has his own millions and has written movies such as “Tropic Thunder” and “Zoolander 2.” He is currently starring on HBO’s series “The Leftovers.”
“Most of us believe Justin’s using the dogs as pawns — as some divorcing couples do with the kids — to squeeze more money out of their settlement!” the source said. “There’s no way she’s going to let him get his hands on her money — OR her mutts!”
Aniston and Theroux met in 2011 and were married in 2015. The pair reportedly has an ironclad prenuptial agreement in place.
Since the pair announced their separation, Theroux has been seen out on the town with a slew of beautiful women, including Selena Gomez, 25. Life & Style reported that Aniston has begged Theroux to stop “humiliating” her.
“Jen believes they both should have laid low for the first few months and given their relationship a bit of a mourning period,” the source told Life & Style. “Instead, Justin’s been acting like a man who was just let out of prison. Jen feels betrayed.”
