Governor Tony Evers has appointed Andrea Will as the new Dodge County District Attorney, filling the vacancy left by Kurt F. Klomberg’s resignation. Will will serve for the rest of the term, ending in January 2025. Governor Evers praised Will for her leadership, dedication, and organizational skills and stated that she would be an excellent district attorney for the people of Dodge County.

Will has served as an assistant district attorney in the Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office since 2008. During her tenure there, she has gained a wide range of experience prosecuting cases ranging from traffic violations to violent felonies. She has also been the lead attorney in over 25 jury trials, including cases involving murder, arson, domestic violence, and white-collar crime. Before joining the Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office, Will worked as a criminal defense attorney for one year at Kim and LaVoy, SC.

Waukesha County District Attorney Susan L. Opper also praised Will, stating that she has the experience, judgment, and dedication needed to take over the leadership of the Dodge County District Attorney’s Office. Will has been an active member of the Waukesha County Drug Treatment Court committee since its establishment in 2012, serving as the prosecution representative until 2019.

Will received her education from Wake Forest University and Marquette University Law School. She expressed her honor at being chosen as the next district attorney of Dodge County and stated that her priority would continue to be the pursuit of justice and victims’ rights. She also plans to build strong working relationships with law enforcement and keep the community safe.
