The ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar has revealed its council slate for the upcoming 2024-2025 term.
David A. Brennen to Assume Council Chair Role
Professor David A. Brennen, formerly the dean at the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law, is set to take the helm as the council chair. Brennen, who previously served as the council’s vice-chair and chair-elect, will succeed Judge Bridget Mary McCormack, a retired Michigan Supreme Court chief justice.
New Council Members and Roles
- Chair-Elect: Daniel Thies, partner at Webber & Thies
- Vice-Chair: Justice Melissa Hart of the Colorado Supreme Court
- Member-at-Large: Leah Chan Grinvald, dean and professor at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas William S. Boyd School of Law
- Law Student Division Member: Christiana Burnett, a 2L at the University of Chicago Law School
These appointments are subject to presentation and approval during the 2024 ABA Annual Meeting scheduled for August 2 in Chicago.
