The Bachelor franchise has returned to Narnia this season, only four seasons removed from the producers’ decision to include one Latino contestant, and this year’s cast is one again all-white. The girls are competing for the heart of Ben Flajnik, one of Sonoma’s most eligible bachelors who is a winemaker.
This season’s cast includes Dental Consultants, VIP Cocktail Waitresses, Trading Clerks, and C-level executives. Also on the docket this season is a Biglaw attorney…Just kidding! Erika Uhlig, 23, is a 2L at the University of Illinois College of Law. Prior to her law studies she was a political science major at the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to Pitt, she was Miss Chesterfield, Virginia in 2006.
A school classmate of Erika’s described Erika as simply as possible, “she’s a b**ch”….
Erika’s pageant career is still active, as she is the reigning Miss Chicago, which means either the judges couldn’t see her face because of the wind or they factor in the talent portion for a lot more now than in previous years. In fact, the swimsuit portion of the competition counts for 15 percent of the final grade. According to Erika’s biography, her passions are art, magic, and memory, so many wonder where her idea for law school came from in the first place.
This past Monday, Erika’s time spent on the bachelor ended but not before she was able to leave her mark on the show and its viewers. She put the art, the magic, and the memory into one five-minute clip on the show. Ben was systematically removing all of the ugly women from the show over the past couple of weeks, so this was Erika’s last ditch effort at keeping her spot.

Erika talked to the cameras during the show, obviously sensing that she was going to get the boot, that another girl on the show has “thicker thighs than I do, which always makes me feel better.” She also struggled when she tried to impress Ben with her ugly lip tattoo, which says ‘Amore.’ During the rose ceremony, Erika decided to faint in the middle of all the girls, obviously attempting to gain the attention of Ben and the show’s viewers. Erika then asked Ben if she could sit on a couch until she felt better, which happened after she did not receive a rose, so she could remain on the show a little bit longer. This poor performance by Erika gives Chicago a bad name.
A tipster from Erika’s law school did inform the media that Erika received a rose for her performance on the show:
Yes, she’s the type of personality that made her fellow 2L cheer when she was booted off. She got a rose in her mailbox saying better luck next time.
