Summary: A fast food-loving woman has sued KFC for false advertising.

In a perfect world, buckets of chicken would be overflowing with fried, crispy goodness. But alas, we do not live in a fast food fantasy.

That didn’t stop one woman, however, for fighting for more chicken.  According to CBS News, Anna Wurtzburger, 64, of Dutchess County, New Jersey filed a $20 million lawsuit against KFC for false advertising. She said that the company fooled hungry families into thinking they would get more food than what was actually served, and she was especially upset with the advertising of the $20 chicken bucket.

Wurtzburger said that in the ads, chicken was brimming to the top of the bucket, but in real life, the chicken allegedly only hit halfway. Last summer, she had purchased a chicken deal, but she was shocked at how small the pieces were.

“They say it feeds the whole family … They’re showing a bucket that’s overflowing with chicken,” Wurtzburger told the New York Post. “You get half a bucket! That’s false advertising, and it doesn’t feed the whole family. They’re small pieces!”

KFC said that customers were promised 8 pieces for $20, and that is what they were given. They said that her lawsuit was “meritless” and that they expected it to be thrown out in court. They added that the chicken stuck out of the bucket in advertisements in order to show off the product.

Wurtzburger has already been offered $70 worth of coupons to KFC upon her initial complaint, but she said that was not enough. That’s why she hired a lawyer and sought what she felt was a fair amount–$20 million.

“It’s the principle of the matter,” Wurtzburger said to CBS. “Sometimes you gotta hit people where they feel the hurt. For me, a corporation like that — would be in the pocketbook.”
