Portland, Maine’s Pierce Atwood, which laid off 21 in February, has announced a new Providence, Rhode Island office.
The new office expands Pierce Atwood’s products liability, commercial litigation, employee benefits and Employee Retirement Income Security Act practices.
Pierce Atwood employs 120 lawyers. The firm has hired a new partner, Brooks R. Magratten, formerly with Providence’s Vetter & White, to run the new office.
Magratten will be joined by associate attorney Michael J. Daly, also formerly of Vetter & White.
Pierce Atwood has offices in Augusta, Maine; Boston; Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Washington, DC; and Stockholm, Sweden.
