Summary: A Florida man was dissatisfied with how long it took to get his food from the McDonalds drive-thru so he took the revenge out inside the fast food restaurant.
William Silva was not happy that he had to wait in the drive-thru for what he deemed an unacceptable amount of time to get his food. The 49-year-old man entered the McDonald’s in Clearwater, Florida after making it through the drive-thru line to take his anger out on the workers.
One McDonald’s employee was kicked in the stomach by the “irate and violent†Silva. The drive-thru was “backed up†more than expected Sunday evening around 10:30. Silva was “extremely unhappy with his service in the drive-thru.â€
When Silva entered the restaurant, he began screaming and cursing at the employees. He was asked to calm down, but instead lashed out employee Manuel Cano, who happened to be off-duty at the time. After receiving the front kick to his stomach, Cano countered with several punches to Silva’s head.
Silva denied the New Year’s Day altercation inside the restaurant when police confronted him. However, Cano and the McDonald’s manager contradicted his denial.
Police arrested Silva for two misdemeanors – disorderly conduct and battery. He was released on $650 bond from the county jail. Silva has been previously arrested for cocaine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
