Summary: A countersuit claims that the extremely wealthy Johnny Depp is overspending.

Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp spends a whole lot of bullion. Two million dollars a month to be specific. At least if you believe the allegations in the countersuit of his ex-business managers.

Depp’s former managers Joel and Robert Mandel filed the countersuit on Tuesday after Depp sued them, claiming that they had mismanaged his fortune. But the duo didn’t take the smack talk lightly, and they filed a countersuit in Los Angeles Superior Court in which they said Depp’s extravagant spending habits were to blame for his money problems, not them.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Mandels of The Management Group (TMG) said that Depp spent $75 million to upkeep his 14 global residences and $18 million on a yacht. The managers also said that Depp was able to spend what some Americans make in a year–$30,000–on wine alone.

Even crazier, the Mandels allege Depp spent $3 million to blast the ashes of Hunter S. Thompson over Aspen, Colorado. Depp played Thompson in the cult classic Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and he was known to have a special connection to the author.

“Depp lived an ultra-extravagant lifestyle that often knowingly cost Depp in excess of $2 million per month to maintain, which he simply could not afford,” the Mandels’ attorney Michael Kump wrote in the cross-complaint. “Depp, and Depp alone, is fully responsible for any financial turmoil he finds himself in today.”

Joel and Robert Mandel said that TMG did everything it could to responsibly handle Depp’s money, but he did not listen to their warnings about overspending.

TMG’s countersuit was a response to Depp’s lawsuit, which was filed earlier this month. The superstar said that the Mandels were guilty of misconduct and that the firm collected $28 million in contingent fees in which he did not agree to. He said TMG also did not pay his taxes on time or keep proper books, and that the company sneakily loaned out $10 million of his money without authorization.

This is not the first time in recent months that Depp’s money has been in the news. His $7 million divorce from actress Amber Heard was finalized in early January, and it has been reported that he will pay the amount in installments, a somewhat odd action for an actor rumored to make nearly $20 million a movie.
