The lawsuit claims that P.E. teacher Peter Paul Lucas once encouraged the 14-year-old plaintiff’s classmates at Henley High School in Oregon to tackle and pin him. During the March 2015 incident, a student placed his balls on the boy’s forehead as a “show of dominance” before another student gave him a wedgie as other mean kids stole his shoes.

Then the incident allegedly culminated with Lucas shvoing his shoe toward the plaintiff’s face and asking him if he could smell the dog poop he had stepped in.

The boy’s mother called the police the day of the incident, and Lucas, 59, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor first-degree official misconduct and one count of harassment. The teacher pled no contest to all crimes.

Lucas was sentenced to a diversion agreement that would allow for his criminal charges to be dismissed if he gave up his teaching license, took anger management courses, wrote an apology, and finished community service. However, the lawsuit stated that Lucas has never written an apology letter and he has only until March 14 to do so or he will violate his agreement.

The plaintiff is suing Lucas and the school district for harassment he received during the 2014-2015 school year. Examples include being called gay slurs, getting hit with a sock filled with heavy objects, and even getting punched in front of Lucas. The boy said that he had complained to the school’s athletic director who had refused to stop the bullying.

The plaintiff is now 16, and he said he suffers from depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. He has already transferred to another high school.
