NYPD cop, Familia, was in her vehicle that was parked atEast 183rd Street and Morris Avenue in Fordham Heights when Bonds approached. He blasted her through the window without warning, witnesses said.

A law enforcement source told The Post that the Bronx-neighborhood shooting was a “cop assassination.” Another source said that Bonds was out on parole for a 2013 robbery in Syracuse. He had already served seven years of his eight years sentence, and he would’ve completed parole in May 2018.

After the shooting, Familia was rushed to St. Barnabus Hospital, where she died in surgery. She was a 12-year veteran of the 46th Precinct in New York City.

Police Commissioner O’Neill said Bonds fired one round, which prompted Familia’s partner to immediately call backup. Two other officers, Sergeant Keith Bryan and Officer Joseph Ayala chased after Bonds where they shot him dead about one block away.

During the standoff, a bystander was wounded in the stomach, but he is reportedly in stable condition at St. Barnabas.

A witness told The Post that he had heard the shooting but had assumed the gunfire was fireworks.

“I was in this bodega right here on Crescent, just getting a sandwich and all of a sudden there was all this running and stuff going on and I look out, probably 40, 50, 60 cops screaming, ‘Call a paramedic, clear the block!’” witness Jay Marzelli said. “It looked like there was a riot going on … two seconds later I hear gunshots: bam, bam … and then the police officer was just laying there in front of the stationary precinct — right here on Crescent and [East 183rd]. I saw an officer laying there in the ground unconscious in another officer’s arms. Police officers screaming, ‘Get the f—ing paramedics.’”

Before joining the NYPD, Familia was a former Red Cross Medical Assistant and a nurse at New York University Hospital.

“Officer Miosotis Familia ‎spent 12 years protecting her community as a member of the NYPD and all New Yorkers share in the pain and heartbreak caused by her death,” New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said. “I offer my deepest condolences to Officer Familia’s loved ones and fellow members of the NYPD. Today, we all come together to mourn one of New York’s Finest.”
