Summary: The “U Got It Bad” singer claims the woman suing him for allegedly giving her herpes has no proof he gave it to her.

Usher, 38, filed a motion to dismiss, and he said that the unnamed woman has no proof that it was he who gave her the lifelong disease and not just some random guy after their romantic rendezvous.

According to the docs obtained by TMZ, Usher said that the woman had no evidence presented in her lawsuit that she had been tested prior to their sex romp in April so it is unclear when she was infected. Usher said that she could have got herpes before or after their time together.

TMZ noted that Usher did not deny that he could have given her the STD, but that his case involved creating reasonable doubt. He also did not deny ever having intercourse with the plaintiff.

Last month, Radar Online broke the story that Usher had settled with a celebrity stylist for $1 million after giving her the disease. The unnamed woman said that she had noticed “greenish discharge” from his penis but that he had denied having any type of infection.

The news of that settlement sparked other plaintiffs to come forward, claiming that the wealthy entertainer had exposed them to herpes. One woman, Quantasia Sharpton, said that a test revealed that she had not contracted the disease, but she is suing Usher for exposing her without her knowledge.

According to Sharpton’s attorney, Lisa Bloom of California, it is illegal in the state to not inform partners of having a disease prior to unprotected sex.

The “Jane Doe” suing for $20 million originally wanted $10 million but upped her ask when she discovered that she had been infected. She said that she wants $20 million for emotional harm, medical bills, and punitive damages. Usher said that he had problems with her not using her real name in her lawsuit.

Despite all these trysts, Usher remains married to Grace Miguel, who he wed in 2015. According to TMZ, Miguel is unconcerned with the plaintiff asking for $20 million because she is allegedly a friend of Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Foster and she allegedly has a vendetta against the singer.
