Summary: Actor Tom Sizemore allegedly molested a child actress in 2003.

In 2003, actor Tom Sizemore was forced to leave a Utah film set after an 11-year-old said he had touched her genitals. The girl’s parents declined to press charges, and Sizemore was later allowed to do a reshoot in Malibu months later, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Hollywood Reporter said that this was the first time the incident has been publicly revealed, although numerous crew members were aware and disgusted by what had happened. The publication spoke to a dozen people involved with the film Born Killers who confirmed that Sizemore was sent home after the alleged incident.

The Hollywood Reporter contacted the former actress, who is now 26, and she said that she has hired a lawyer to explore possible legal action against Sizemore and her parents. Sizemore declined to comment via his agent, Stephen Rice.

The people THR spoke with included cast and crew members, and they said that there were rumors on set about what had happened. Those who spoke up said that they were not surprised by Sizemore’s action because he was known to be a jerk.

At the time of the alleged molestation, Sizemore had a reputation as a tough guy and had been convicted of physically abusing and harassing Heidi Fleiss, the former “Hollywood Madam” who was also his ex-girlfriend. He had a history of drug use and battery towards women, but he was not known for pedophilia or molestation.

Sizemore denied the child actress’ claim when it was alleged.

After the 2003 incident, Sizemore was dropped by his managers at Untitled and his agent at CAA. He is currently being represented by Pantheon.

The film’s producers Jai Stefan, Michael Manshel and Gus Spoliansky told The Hollywood Reporter that they immediately removed Sizemore upon hearing the actress’ story. Spoliansky said that they didn’t go to the police and that they resumed filming like normal because they had a “fiduciary responsibility.”

“We had a fiduciary responsibility to complete the film so we decided to go about business as usual — lacking the evidence of what happened that day,” said Spoliansky. “We took the allegation extremely seriously and we were willing to do anything, including dismissing Tom. We just couldn’t be police, judge and jury.”

Roi Maufas, a production assistant on Born Killers, said that the crew was aware of Sizemore’s action and that it devastated them.

“It filtered down to the crew,” said Maufas. “The little girl said what she said and we all thought, ‘That fucking sleazebag.’ There was never any doubt. He was this guy who was already known for making inappropriate comments, being drunk, being high. We’re talking about consistent behavior, just being ‘Tom Sizemore’ on set every day. Then this happens. Guys reached for hammers. [Producer James R. Rosenthal, who died in 2011], who was livid himself, had to stop a group of us from going to visit Mr. Sizemore to kick the guy’s ass.”

After Born Killers, Sizemore continued to work in Hollywood, despite the alleged pedophiliac incident and being convicted of battering two women. Most recently, he has appeared in Twin Peaks and Shooter.
